With the aim of expanding quality education in Computer and Information Technology and to expose the students to the latest development in the rapidly changing Computer arena, USTC, the largest private University of Bangladesh, took the bold step of establishing the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. Hon'ble Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Lt. Gen. (retd.) Md. Nooruddin Khan was present as the chief guest in the inauguration ceremony of the faculty. At present, the faculty is offering B.Sc.(Engg.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), B.Sc.(Engg.) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and B.Sc.(Engg.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering. From this year, faculty has introduced postgraduate programs which are Master of Information Technology (MIT) and PG Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT). The functions of the faculty are governed according to the Internal Rules and Regulations of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology within broad framework of the policies, statutes and guidelines of USTC.
